John Mayfield received his real estate license at the age of 18 in 1978. John has been a practicing broker since 1981 and he owned and operated three offices in Southeast Missouri, and managed over 35 real estate agents. John has taught pre and post license real estate courses since 1988. John has earned the ABR®, ABRM, CRB, GRI, and e-PRO® designations throughout his real estate tenure.

John is an avid real estate speaker and trainer. John is a GRI instructor for The Missouri Association of REALTORS® and the Arkansas Association of REALTORS® and teaches for the CRB® Council. John has spoken to thousands of real estate professionals throughout his tenure. He has been a featured speaker at the 2004 and 2005 National Association of REALTORS® conventions. He is author of three books and creator of the “5-Minutes Series for Real Estate Agents.” “5-Minutes to a Great Real Estate Sales Meeting,” “5-Minutes to a Great Real Estate Letter” and “5-Minutes to a Great Real Estate Ad,” by Thomson Learning, and co-author of “Effective Real Estate Sales and Marketing” with Johnnie Rosenauer published by Thomson Learning. John is also one of the contributing editors to the “Sales Coach” section for REALTOR® Magazine Online, and is a real estate writer for Hewlett Packard’s Web Site. John is also very active on a local, state and national level for the REALTORS® Association.

John has two children, Alyx and Anne, and he and his wife Kerry live in Farmington, MO.  John currently runs Mayfield Real Estate as a “virtual” office, with agents in St. Louis and Farmington, MO. www.MayfieldRE.com
